Question by redrose19: Help for varicose veins and pain on left pelvic area?
Hi, Im in my early 20′s and have varicose veins i know they are hereditary but has anybody found a way to ease the pain? I don’t want suggestions about surgery bc i would’ve already done that if i had the money. Has any one every tried the hoses? do they work… Also i have this sharp pain that comes and goes on the left side of my pelvic area. (where my leg bends) could this be from the vericose veins?

compression stockings work very well. A doctor should prescribe the right strength of compression …but you are safe to buy a 15-20mmhg compression and wear them without consulting a doctor. I wear them, and my legs feel great. Just make sure you put them on in the morning, and smooth them out really well so there is no gathering, which acts like a tourniquet on your leg ….good luck.
